Program instruction is held Monday-Saturday, 9am-4pm for the two week session and Monday – Friday, 9am – 4pm for the one week sessions. Students are expected to arrive between 8:30am – 8:45am and to attend the program daily. Students should notify us of the dates of pre-planned absences that would occur during their time here.

Students are expected to arrange their own daily transportation

Every day, at the Harrisburg campus, students are provided with access to lunch via money vouchers usable at any of the food vendors at Strawberry Square, which is attached to the Harrisburg University building. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch, however, we are unable to provide cold storage.

An assortment of light snacks and drinks are available via vending machines located throughout the campus.

Non HU Campuses:

Students are expected to bring their own lunches.

Upon acceptance to the program, all students will be asked their shirt size for a Summer Exploration Camp T-shirt.

Field Trips / Guest Speakers

Our program always includes real conversations with real professionals within the game development industry. Each year’s access to professionals will be a little different because a studio’s schedule is always adapting to the needs of their project, which makes consistency nearly impossible.

However, Harrisburg University has professional game developers on staff as well as a yearly Game Designer in Residence who makes themselves available to provide insight, share their experiences, and offer feedback on each team’s games throughout the camp.

End of Camp Celebration

At the end of each Harrisburg session, students will present their work to friends and family at a special closing event at Harrisburg University. The other campuses may not have an End of Camp celebration but we are working towards providing one for each of them.
